The island's casinos, discos, and restaurants are about a 15-minute drive from the hotel. The island's capital, Saint John, is four miles away.

The hotel offers certain watersports complimentary, while others can be arranged for a fee. The Palm serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner out-of-doors, while the more formal Vyvien's serves an a la carte menu for dinner only. Once a week, the hotel hosts a seaside barbeque, and guests can enjoy on-site entertainment five nights a week. There are also two open-air bars on the premises.
