What a lovely place everything was perfect the bedroom was very clean and the beds were changed every day. The staff goes over the top to make you feel welcome and will do anything for you. We went the 12th of May 2005 and it rained for 5 days but we did not care we still swam in the sea. The food was out of this world, I think I’ve put on a stone in weight. The sea is crystal clear and the sand was like powder, we went on two trips, one to swim with the sharks and one sea fishing. We wanted to go to swim with the dolphins but they wanted 230 pounds each and we were told you only have 10 mins with them so we did not bother. We didn’t have to worry though on our sea fishing trip we saw 15 dolphins swimming free by the side of our boat WOW! IT WAS FANTASTIC as was swimming with the sharks we rated the bambu food 99% staff 99% thomson reps 99% hotel 99% rooms 99% trips 80% beach 99%. We wont rate it a 100% because we always say there is always room for improvement anywhere you go. I would like to say we will be back very soon.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this wonderful hotel for two weeks, the last week in February first week in March. I am not really too well travelled, but I have been to Cuba four times, Iv'e been to Mexico, Iv'e been to Italy, and Iv'e been to Scotland, and from them all my favourite, is Riu Bamboo in Punta Cana. The location, the beach, the hotel cannot be beat and the staff were all great. They could not do enough to make your stay the best, the food was excellent, both the casual, and the main restaurants. I will most certainly be back, and I highly recommend it.
