Just 11 miles away from the international airport, and 6 miles away from Marigot, the French side main town, our four-star hotel is perched on top of a hill overlooking the Anse Marcel cove.
Between the two sides of the island there are over 36 beaches to choose from, each with its own distinctive attractions. Those on the French side tend to be more secluded and more conducive to quiet contemplation and privacy. Many of the hotels have their own stretch of beach, but the ones that are more difficult to get to are especially worth exploring. Some are hugged by rugged cliffs and dramatic landscapes, while others are gently shaded by palm trees. Most beaches are rarely crowded, even in peak season.


A tour of the French side's most popular beaches, from west to east includes :
Anse Marcel:
Calm and quiet, nicely shady, and great for kids with hotels nearby.

Baie Longue:
A magnificent arc of white sand with calm, clear waters. It features an isolated location in Low Lands with the luxurious La Samanna hotel on its eastern end.

Baie aux Prunes:
On the far western edge of Low Lands, reachable by walking west around Pointe du Canonnier, is small and shady with good surfing close to the rocks.

Baie Rouge:
A long, beautiful stretch of sand on the northern shore of Terres Basses with a snack bar and an umbrella rental near the entrance.

Friar's Bay:
Just west of Grand Case, is pretty and very popular with locals and divers attracted by the beauty of its coral reef.

Happy Bay:
After a ten-minute walk, find yourself on an amazing virgin beach

Grand Case:
A magnificent arc of crystal-clear water and white sand, is very calm for swimming and snorkeling and offers great beachfront restaurants.

Petites Cayes:
The most isolated beach in St. Martin, can be accessed by boat or a 30 minute walk via a coastal trail from Cul-de-Sac!

Grandes Cayes:
A scenic beach on the northeast coast, with boats shuttling back and forth to the offshore islets, Pinel Island and Tintamarre.

Pinel:
Shuttle boats take you in a few minutes to this islet located in the nature Reserve. Two beaches, the main one boasting a restaurant, and a gorgeous shallow diving site. That’s what make Pinel so charming; a hot spot very popular with tourists.

Orient Beach:
Very long and very popular, with a “clothing-optional” stretch, numerous dining spots, beach shops and watersports. It can be quite windy at times. Baie de l'Embouchure protected by a coral barrier is nice for sailing and windsurfing.

Le Gallion:
A family beach bordering a very pleasant and well protected stretch of water. You will find restaurant and water sports centers on the spot.
