My wife and I stayed 2 weeks at Giardini Papagayo in February of last year. It was really enjoyable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food for the first week was only so so but much better in week 2. I think a new manager took over while we were there. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff did a good job. Central air conditioning was a plus (no noisy unit in the room)

The equipment for activities could have been better. The bikes were mostly useless, broken and rusty. The snorkellng gear consisted of 3 or 4 masks and snorkels but no fins.

Great beach, some days deserted. The snorkelling right in front of the resort is great, lots of fish. If you snorkel, take your own gear.

I plan to go back for two weeks next year.
